We supply our own SportTurf product, which comes 15 ft wide and can be cut to any length up to 500 ft. Minimum order is 450 sq ft. You are not buying from a separate vendor and hoping the installer shows up. One crew handles everything.
A good turf install starts below the surface. We grade and compact the sub-base, apply decomposed granite or crushed aggregate where needed, and verify drainage before a single roll is laid. Skipping this step is why other installs fail.
Standing water destroys turf systems and creates safety hazards. We slope the base correctly and install the right infill material so rain moves through and the surface stays firm, consistent, and safe for foot traffic and play.
SportTurf is selected for high-heat climates. The backing and fiber construction are built to handle Texas summers without degrading, fading prematurely, or becoming a hazard underfoot during peak afternoon temperatures.
We install turf in backyards, around pools, on commercial properties, in pet areas, on rooftop terraces, and in high-traffic commercial landscapes. If it needs turf, we can handle it regardless of the application or the size of the job.
WB Rubber works on athletic facilities, practice fields, and multi-sport surfaces. We understand the performance requirements for sports turf and install systems that can handle cleats, repeated lateral movement, and heavy institutional use.
Every WB Rubber artificial turf installation starts with a site evaluation. We look at the existing surface, measure the area, and confirm what base work is required before any turf is unrolled. Skipping the evaluation phase is how projects end up with drainage problems, uneven seams, and turf that shifts underfoot inside of a year.
Once we know what we are working with, we prepare the sub-base. This typically involves removing any existing sod, organic material, or loose debris, grading the surface to a proper slope, and compacting a crushed granite or decomposed granite base to the specified depth. See our compacted base installation and turf base preparation pages for more detail on this phase. On concrete or hardscape applications, we evaluate the existing drainage and apply any needed prep before installation.
With the base ready, we roll out the SportTurf material. SportTurf comes in 15-ft-wide rolls and can be cut to any custom length up to 500 ft, which means nearly any residential or commercial footprint can be covered with minimal seams. Our minimum order is 450 sq ft. We cut and position each section carefully, ensuring seam placement is aligned with traffic flow and not located in high-use zones where separation is most likely.
Seams are secured, edges are trimmed and anchored to bender board or existing hardscape perimeters, and infill material is spread and worked into the fiber at the correct depth. Proper infill is what gives the turf its stability, cushion, and natural-looking texture. We do not rush this step because how the infill is distributed directly affects both how the finished surface looks and how it performs under load. Learn more about our infill spreading process.

WB Rubber handles turf installations across a wide range of applications throughout Texas. The most common residential project is a backyard turf replacement, where homeowners are tired of maintaining grass that browns out every August and turns to mud every spring. A properly installed artificial turf system in a backyard needs no irrigation, no mowing, and holds up to children, pets, and outdoor furniture year-round.
Commercial landscaping is another major application. Office parks, retail centers, multifamily properties, and municipal installations benefit from the reduced maintenance cost and the consistent appearance that commercial artificial turf provides regardless of drought restrictions or seasonal changes.
Athletic facilities and sports fields represent a different category of installation where performance matters as much as appearance. We install turf for practice facilities, multi-use sports courts, school athletic fields, and recreational programs. These installations require the right infill density for traction, the correct pile height for the sport, and base preparation that can handle heavy institutional use over many years.
WB Rubber also installs turf in dog runs, rooftop terraces, pool surrounds, and putting greens. Wherever grass is difficult to maintain or undesirable for the application, artificial turf is the practical alternative and we have the experience to install it correctly.
